- Scoutmaster Dave, along with the Troop Committee, would like to say Congratulations to Matt Theune for earning the rank of Eagle!!! Matt was given
the honor at the Eagle Board of Review on Thursday night. Matt will be officially presented with his Eagle Rank at an upcoming Court of Honor. More
details will be posted as them come along.
- Troop Holiday Schedule

- Every year, the Holidays mess with our schedule, and this year is no different. Because of the Holidays, there will be no troop meetings on
November 22nd or 29th, and also no troop meeting on December 27th. Meetings will return to normal in January. As always, check the calendar for
the latest updates.

- It takes a lot to make a troop successful, especially if you want to be an “active troop”. That means lots of outings, rank
advancement, and community involvement. Our Troop is becoming very active, and we need your help to keep it going. What
better way to show interest in what your son is doing than getting involved? Become a Committee Member, an Assistant
Scoutmaster, or even a Merit Badge Councelor. Or do you have another idea of how you can help? To learn more, contact a

- Scouting For Food

- Thank you to everyone from Troop 843 and from Pack 3843 who came and helped with the 2011 "Scouting For Food" annual food drive. Many hands made
light work, and our task was done very quickly. Also, without the support of the community, this drive wouldn't be possible. The Oostburg Scouts
would like to thank Oostburg and the surrounding area for their continued support of this worthy cause. If we missed you or you missed us, and
you would still like to donate, there is still time! Either drop your donation off at the American Legion Hall in Oostburg, or contact Scoutmaster

- Personal Management Merit Badge

- At the March 8th troop meeting, Mr. Katsma talked to the troop about the Personal Management merit badge. We also sent the merit badge worksheet
home with the boys. This is a required merit badge for the Eagle Rank. If your scout would like to work on this merit badge, they need to get a
"Blue Card" from Mr. Malueg, and then contact Mr. Katsma (the Personal Management merit badge councilor).
