Rocket Launch Rained Out
August 22, 2010 - Posted by: Cubmaster Jason

Unfortunately, "rain" was the word for our Rocket Launch on Saturday. Although we were able to get a couple of rockets airborne, showers prevented us from doing much of a launch. We talked about rescheduling for August 28, but that doesn't seem to work out for many of us. I'm looking for a date in September that would work for everyone, so let me know what weekend works for you! Thank yous to everyone who helped with the food, helped set up, and helped me wash and dry everything off afterward!

We need YOU!!
August 5, 2010 - Posted by: Cubmaster Jason

A healthy and successfull scouting program takes the time and talents of many people. Right now, our pack has several open leadership positions that need to get filled to keep our program running smoothly. Our biggest need at this time, however, are for an Assistant Cubmaster and a Popcorn Kernel. The Assistant Cubmaster helps the Cubmaster plan and run pack meetings, camps, and whatever other pack business that needs to be done. They would also fill in for me at Pack meetings if I was ill. The Popcorn Kernel basically runs our annual popcorn sale. They (along with help from me and Jane) order our popcorn, and then keep track of the inventory and the money from the sale.
Planning for fall events is already underway, and the Popcorn Sale process is already starting. If you are interested in helping us out, or would like more information about helping out, please feel free to either contact myself or one of the other pack leaders. Its very rewarding, and you will enjoy the extra time with your son!

Summer Camp Was A BLAST!
Updated August 5, 2010 - Posted by: Cubmaster Jason

2010 patch for Camp Rokilio Summer camp 2010 is in the books, and all I can say is WOW! We had fun! All of the scouts who went to camp earned beltloops and Webelos pins, shot BB guns, Archery, went swimming, and had lots of fun around the campfires! Our whole group earned the Awase Award, so along with the award, we got a "100% Awase Award" ribbon to put on our pack flag. I would like to thank my adult leaders, Marylin, Greg, Mark and Jim for coming along and helping make camp run smooth. I couldn't have done it without you guys! So, now that camp is over, where do we want to stay next year?

Dunkin' Doughnuts - Thanks!!
July 6, 2010 - Posted by: Cubmaster Jason

A little rain couldn't keep us from having a good day at Veteran's Park! A big THANK YOU goes out to the scouts, parents, committee memebers and everyone eles who came out and helped with the Dunkin' Donuts stand at the 4th of July celebration. Everything went really smooth, and it looks like our pack did really good fundraising this year. A special thanks goes to Carl, Brandon, Mike, and Dave for joining me in the dunk tank, and to the Cedar Grove Fire Department for providing the dunk tank itself. I would also like to personally thank everyone from the community who once again supported our fundraiser.

Bay Beach Outing
June 12, 2010 - Posted by: Cubmaster Jason

Although the clouds were dark, the weather held out and everyone had a BLAST at Bay Beach! We spent a couple hours at the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary where the scouts hand fed ducks and deer. Then we crossed the road and had lunch at the Bay Beach Amusement Park, where we spent the rest of the afternoon on the rides!

June 1st Den Shift
June 4, 2010 - Posted by: Cubmaster Jason

Remember, on June 1st our dens all shift up. This means that from now on, you should be working on the next book, so if you were tigers, you should now be working on Wolf activities. Also, when you are looking on this website, you must click on your new rank to find your den's page.

Memorial Day Parade
June 4, 2010 - Posted by: Cubmaster Jason

I would like to thank everyone who came out for the Memorial Day Parade. We had a great turn out for the parade, and lots of help with the float. I think that the float was a big hit with the crowd, and our group really looked good! Who knows, maybe we will start a trend!
