March 20, 2010 - Posted by: Den Leader Rhonda So, how much sap does it take to make a gallon of syrup? - A LOT!!! We had a great time making Maple Syrup at the Bergshultz maple tree farm. A big thank you goes to Bob and Lynn for hosting our pack, and for showing us the syrup making process. They even let us try some! Mmmmmm..... We also give a big shout-out to Marble the cat, for making us feel so welcome. Blue and Gold BanquetFebruary 28, 2010 - Posted by: Cubmaster Jason Congratulations to the scouts of Pack 3843, for another strong showing at this years Blue and Gold Banquet. Our advancment rate was nearly 100% again this year, and I couldn't be prouder of my boys! Of course, this could not be possible without the guidance and support of our scout parents, and for that I thank you! A big thank you goes to the leaders and parents who helped us set up and clean up for this year's banquet. All of the skits were great, but can honestly say I have never seen a group of tiger scouts more excited to get their patches! Pinewood Derby RESULTS!January 29, 2009 - Posted by: Cubmaster Jason Congratulations to Hunter V. for taking 1st Place in our 2010 Pinewood Derby! Second place went to Hunter H, and third went to Nate H. "Best of Show" went to Austin S, the "Scout Spirt" award went to Joe D, and the "Most Creative Design" award went to Cordell P. Everyone did really well this year, and I was proud to see all the work that went into the cars this year. This year was very competative! Parents - if you would like a copy of the results, send me an e-mail. A Message from Chairperson JaneDecember 21, 2009 - Posted by: Committee Chairperson Jane The blessings of good friends is one of the greatest gifts anyone could ask. Pack 3843 throughout the years has become my second family. Cub Scouts are to learn to do a good turn and all of you definitely have! Thank you for your prayers, your help and the thoughtfulness of a gift card drive for me, Harrison and Maggie. The generousity shown to us, truly helped us this Christmas season. Thank you and may God bless you this upcoming Christmas season and through the upcoming year! Pies Everywhere!November 20, 2009 - Posted by: Cubmaster Jason
October 26, 2009 - Posted by: Cubmaster Jason American Legion Post 286, Boy Scout Troop 843, and Pack 3843 would like to give thanks to everyone in the Oostburg and Hingham area who supported our "Scouting For Food" food drive this year. Without the generous donations of people in the community, the success of this event could not be possible. Of course, this event would never happen if it would not be for the efforts of many people from the Legion, the Troop and the Pack. As always, the food collected will go to the food bank in the Oostburg Legion Hall, and will benefit needy families in our area. Geocaching with the Cub Scoutsupdated: September 27, 2009 - Posted by: Cubmaster Jason Any idea what is located at N 43° 39.878 W 087° 49.272? Well, it was the location of our September Pack meeting! Everyone got a taste of Geocaching, with Den Leader Logan going over the basics of the hobby. We then split up into groups and found our own Caches with delicious treats inside! We ended with a campfire and smores, and then more awards than I have ever seen! For more information on Geocaching, visit geocaching.com. 2009 Webelos CampSeptember 27, 2009 - Posted by: Cubmaster Jason The 2009 Webelos Camp went GREAT! Almost everyone who attended earned their Forrester and Outdoorsman Webelos Pins, their Outdoor Activity Award, and a few even earned a beltloop too! Plus, everyone who stayed overnight satisfied a requirement for their Arrow of Light badge. The weather was a little chilly at night, but no rain and plenty of sun during the day. I had fun, I hope you all did too! Camp Rokilio 2009August 19, 2009 - Posted by: Cubmaster Jason
