February 28, 2010 - Posted by: Cubmaster Jason

Congratulations to the scouts of Pack 3843, for another strong showing at this years Blue and Gold Banquet. Our advancment rate was nearly 100% again this year, and I couldn't be prouder of my boys! Of course, this could not be possible without the guidance and support of our scout parents, and for that I thank you! A big thank you goes to the leaders and parents who helped us set up and clean up for this year's banquet. All of the skits were great, but can honestly say I have never seen a group of tiger scouts more excited to get their patches!

American Legion Post 286, Boy Scout Troop 843, and Pack 3843 would like to give thanks to everyone in the Oostburg and Hingham area who supported our "Scouting For Food" food drive this year. Without the generous donations of people in the community, the success of this event could not be possible. Of course, this event would never happen if it would not be for the efforts of many people from the Legion, the Troop and the Pack. As always, the food collected will go to the food bank in the Oostburg Legion Hall, and will benefit needy families in our area.
